Painting the body is a bit different, I think - I've never tried it myself, but it seems the biggest problem is getting the paint to stick.

Here's a couple of other forums you might find useful:
http://milkshakemelody.com/figurvore/index.php (1/6 only) http://dolliehsanctuary.com/ (a little bit of everything)Anderson's All-Purposehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08061361058670001577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-90006613936169373002014-08-10T08:47:58.051-07:002014-08-10T08:47:58.051-07:00Actually, I'm not freckling the face, just the...Actually, I'm not freckling the face, just the body. (I'm too scared to do repaints just yet). Does the ink bleed into the body over time? I'm sure it does. Which type of sealant should I use? Again, thank you for the advice. I really don't know what I'm doing yet!Broon'sBane99https://www.blogger.com/profile/04906565032555243689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-63565612377645495052014-08-10T07:57:28.311-07:002014-08-10T07:57:28.311-07:00You're welcome! You could try acrylic paint on a large dry brush for freckles. Keep us posted of your experiments, I'm sure many will find them useful.BlackKittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14014093330317682849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-8287553919933247412014-08-10T07:40:41.637-07:002014-08-10T07:40:41.637-07:00Oh my gosh, thank you so much! It worked, but the ink dried to a reddish color that looked like scabs or chicken pox instead. :( But at least I know to get a darker brown pigma pen next time. Thanks for everything!Broon'sBane99https://www.blogger.com/profile/04906565032555243689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-62255738619794166792014-08-10T03:09:49.583-07:002014-08-10T03:09:49.583-07:00Hey, my kind of blogger!

I only started collecting about two years ago. I mostly just stick to articulated Barbies and getting clothes for them. Also, have you heard of Enchanted Dolls? I'd love to own one, but for now I have to stick to staring at owner photos, lurking on the forum, and saving money (and time) for a paper doll. (Long story short, Marina doesn't respond to my emails about getting one)

I'll save you in my favorites for now until i figure out how to follow you. Again, thank you so much for encouraging me. It feels good to be validated. :DBroon'sBane99https://www.blogger.com/profile/04906565032555243689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-12659284468853273082014-07-31T14:13:27.479-07:002014-07-31T14:13:27.479-07:00Well, my debut post is up now, complete with your ...Well, my debut post is up now, complete with your shoutout! I should be able to do a little more over the next few days. Just hop over and check it out! And since you're not sure how to follow blogs, I'd recommend putting my blog in your Web browser's Favorites section until you figure it out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-14471967338387216672014-07-31T08:03:39.790-07:002014-07-31T08:03:39.790-07:00I'm excited too! She's worth the work-that face is too pretty! I know what you mean about Raquelle taking over! That white dress is perfect for her. I'm planning on featuring Life in the Dreamhouse Nikki at some point, though, because she's gorgeous. And you guys share a name! ;)

I'm psyched for your blog, as well! I can't wait to see your pictures of Raquelle. I have yet to figure out how to follow blogs, but I'll definitely follow yours!

Thanks!

KayleighBroon'sBane99https://www.blogger.com/profile/04906565032555243689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-82263771958240493552014-07-31T00:47:36.321-07:002014-07-31T00:47:36.321-07:00I'm not a customizer, so I have nothing to off...I'm not a customizer, so I have nothing to offer on that front, but your ballerina doll is beautiful (although I agree, her name is ridiculous) and I can't wait to see the results!
And your Raquelle looks great! I did something of a boho chic look on my Raquelle too. At some point (maybe periodically? I'll try to talk her down), she'll probably take over my blog for at least one post, and her boho pics will be on there then, along with some photos of her doing the five basic ballet positions, which she insisted on me taking!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7786721595679272000.post-79005742653942269942014-07-30T14:01:52.802-07:002014-07-30T14:01:52.802-07:00Aw, thanks!
