I'm Back (for a moment, at least)

Don't worry, I haven't entirely forgotten this blog!

I've been busy with school and marching band, and I've been too busy to even think about dolls. I love marching band, though. Our show is called "Reflections on the Blue Frontier", and it's about the ocean. It has been a challenging show at parts, but I've been enjoying the challenge.

But I'm here for the dolls right now, not the music.

I've been keeping up with all of the new releases as well as I can, given my schedule. I haven't bought a new doll in about two months, but I want to own Invisibilly and Dexter Charming (I have a weakness for boy dolls). I've been waiting for Invisibilly's release for a while now, and Dexter is adorable! However, my area is slow in receiving new releases. I have seen Monster High's Freaky Fusion and Save Frankie line at my local Walmart, but wave 2 of Barbie Glam Luxe Style has not shown up yet. Then again, I have not checked the toy aisles in a long time, so hopefully Walmart has restocked since then.

In other, more positive news, Disney Store Elsa has restocked on the Disney Store website, so I might have to get her. I've been waiting to get her for about a year now, so I'm actually quite excited about getting her. Also, there is a possibility that I may be buying my first BJD. It's not final as of yet, but I am probably purchasing Salem, who is manufactured by Blue Blood Doll.

I have decided to go through with the rebodying project with Lea and Raquelle when I have more time. I am not freckling Lea during this particular customization, as I want to have more skill in customization and repaints before I attempt it on her. However, I appreciate everyone's advice and encouragement in this vast (and oftentimes confusing) field. It's also been hard for me to upload photos to Blogger from Dropbox (I have to download the photos and then upload then), so if anyone has tips about this, feel free to offer advice!

I know this post is very wordy, so here's some pictures of Raquelle that I took on a rainy day to break up the monotony:
I thought that this picture shows off her dainty, elegant hands well (one of my favorite features of the Fashionista body!).
I think that this particular picture is one of my favorites I've ever taken of her. I love how her bright colors are glowing! (Yes, the robe is handmade!)
I've captured many expressions in Raquelle's face-happiness, sleepiness, seductiveness, skepticality, amongst many others-but in this picture, I've captured sadness, which I've never seen in most Barbies' faces.

I'm sorry that I've been gone for so long. I will pick this blog up again in due time, I promise.

Again, thank you for your unwavering support.
